Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and filings
- Maintain and organize case files, exhibits, and legal documentation
- Assist with hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation
- File documents electronically with courts and state agencies
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and scheduling coordination
- Communicate with clients, courts, agencies, and opposing counsel
- Support administrative and regulatory matters, including agency filings and deadline tracking
- Assist with billing, time entry, and general office support as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of legal assistant or paralegal experience preferred
- Prior law firm experience required
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and e-filing
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Florida court systems and administrative agency filings
- Familiarity with administrative or regulatory law
- Experience with billing and timekeeping systems
