Summary
- Under the strategic direction of the Vice President of Physician Recruitment and Engagement, responsible for the operational oversight of all aspects of the recruitment and staffing process.
- Develops talent search plans and conducts physician and provider recruitment searches.
- Oversees leadership searches managed by reporting recruiters.
- Manages the physician and provider recruitment team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Physician and Provider Recruiters and leadership to develop and implement Talent Search Plans.
- Utilizes multiple recruitment strategies, including:
- Print advertising
- Electronic advertising
- Social media outreach
- Conference attendance
- Direct mail campaigns
- Other proactive recruitment approaches
- Develops and maintains relationships with educational institutions and residency programs.
- Attends national and regional medical society meetings and career fairs to:
- Increase organizational visibility
- Interview prospective candidates
- Assists in developing standardized recruitment processes and procedures aligned with organizational strategic initiatives.
- Manages associate recruiters’ workflow and priorities, including:
- Scheduling site visits
- Candidate outreach
- Specialty-specific recruitment research
- Researches and identifies potential candidates based on strategic recruitment plans and assigned searches.
- Initiates candidate contact and conducts screening interviews for further evaluation.
- Completes initial interviews of targeted candidates for presentation to Search Committees.
- Maintains current knowledge of national and regional physician recruitment trends.
- Participates in professional networking and recruitment-related organizations and activities.
- Ensures compliance with all recruitment guidelines, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Oversees daily recruitment operations through leadership, development, and management of recruitment staff.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to:
- Develop recruitment action plans
- Identify candidates
- Create recruitment timelines
- Support physician and provider hiring initiatives
- Participates in ongoing medical staff forecasting and succession planning efforts.

Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Master’s Degree preferred
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred
- Certification required within one (1) year of employment
Required Experience
- Seven (7) years of Physician Recruitment experience required
- Five (5) years of Management experience required
