Job Summary: We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Compensation to lead our compensation programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing sales/bonus compensation plans, job architecture, executive compensation, and equity compensation. This role requires excellent management skills and the ability to align compensation strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales/Bonus Compensation Plans: Design, implement, and manage competitive sales and bonus compensation plans that drive performance and align with company goals. Ensure plans are fair, motivating, and compliant with regulations.
- Job Architecture: Develop and maintain a comprehensive job architecture framework, including job families, levels, and career paths. Ensure consistency and equity across the organization.
- Executive Compensation: Oversee the development and administration of executive compensation programs, including base salary, bonuses, and long-term incentives. Provide support to the Compensation Committee and prepare materials for Board meetings.
- Equity Compensation: Manage equity compensation programs, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and other equity-based awards. Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Compensation Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive compensation strategy that supports the company’s business objectives and attracts, retains, and motivates top talent.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitive positioning of compensation programs. Provide recommendations for adjustments based on market trends and internal equity.
- Compliance: Ensure all compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Stay current with changes in compensation legislation and recommend necessary updates to company policies.
- Management: Lead and develop a team of compensation professionals. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of compensation programs with overall HR and business strategies.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze compensation data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for program improvements. Prepare and present reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation, with a focus on sales/bonus compensation plans, job architecture, executive compensation, and equity compensation.
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and compensation management systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., CCP, CECP, SHRM-SCP).
- Experience in a multi-state or global organization.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, in-office position.
- Occasional travel required.
