Position Summary
This position is focused on strengthening existing customer relationships, coordinating projects, and helping expand business within established accounts. The Account Manager will take ownership of client needs after the initial business development handoff, coordinate with internal teams throughout the project lifecycle, and look for opportunities to introduce clients to additional services.
This is a relationship-driven role suited for someone who is comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating with commercial clients, and identifying ways to grow existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day communication and relationship management for a portfolio of commercial clients.
- Coordinate projects from handoff through completion, keeping deliverables, timelines, and client expectations on track.
- Learn each client's business needs and identify opportunities to expand the relationship.
- Recommend additional services when they align with client needs and project requirements.
- Work closely with internal design, procurement, project management, and business development teams.
- Keep clients informed of progress, changes, and potential issues while helping resolve concerns quickly.
- Assist with select prospecting, follow-up, and new business activities alongside the Business Development team.
- Maintain visibility into account activity, project status, revenue, and potential growth opportunities.
- Deliver a professional, responsive client experience throughout the engagement.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in account management, client relations, customer success, sales, or a comparable client-facing role.
- Background in commercial services, workplace environments, facilities, construction, design, or another related industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships and manage multiple accounts, projects, or priorities.
- Comfortable working with commercial customers and coordinating projects involving multiple internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to recognize opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, or expanding existing accounts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and attentive to detail.
- Comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities while working collaboratively across teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Interior Design, Facility Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Flexibility to occasionally accommodate client meetings, events, or project deadlines outside standard business hours.
