The Collections Director is responsible for leading a high-performing collections organization overseeing a $100M accounts receivable portfolio across 4,000 customer accounts. This role drives timely collections, drives process improvement initiatives, and partners cross-functionally to support cash-flow objectives while balancing customer and business needs.
- 10+ years of B2B collections experience in customer-facing environments.
- 5+ years leadership experience managing teams of 7 or more.
- Experience in shared services or financial operations highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred; MBA a plus.
- Background in manufacturing or distribution industries is a plus.
- The team is expanding- currently 7 collectors and a few other positions - can range from 7 -15
- Must have experience leading a team
- Although Director role, will have direct reports
- Strong collection skills
- KPI's, goals, helping with development
- Will handle escalation calls
- Comfortable speaking to internal/external C Suite executives
- Proficient in excel - help with reporting - V Look Ups, X Look Ups, Pivot Tables, Macros, dashboards a plus
- A lot of process opportunity - comfortable implementing process and SOPs and best practices, change processes
- Must have been a manager or director before
