The Legal Innovation & AI Solutions Lead acts as a critical liaison between legal practice and technological advancement, leveraging legal experience to engage attorneys, pose insightful questions, and address obstacles in the adoption of new technology and processes. The position prioritizes clear communication, practical problem-solving, and direct interaction with attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partners directly with practicing attorneys, practice group leaders, and client teams to understand legal workflows, priorities, and operational challenges across transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters
• Translates attorney and client needs into clear functional, technical, and operational requirements that inform solution design and deployment
• Serves as a bridge between legal professionals and technologists, ensuring solutions align with real world practice needs and applicable ethical and professional responsibility standards
• Identifies, evaluates, and supports the implementation of AI powered legal tools, with a particular emphasis on generative AI, to enhance legal research, drafting, analysis, and matter management
• Designs, refines, and documents AI enabled workflows, prompts, and use cases tailored to specific practice areas, jurisdictions, and client contexts
• Leads and supports pilots, proofs of concept, and tool evaluations, incorporating attorney feedback into iterative enhancements
• Collaborates cross functionally with innovation, product, engineering, and data teams to operationalize legal expertise into scalable, high impact solutions
• Standardizes and scales successful technology enabled workflows across practice groups, offices, and enterprise client engagements
• Provides hands on guidance to attorneys and clients to ensure deployed tools are adopted, trusted, and used effectively
• Develops and delivers training programs, presentations, and written guidance to support responsible and effective use of AI and legal technology
• Communicates emerging technology trends, opportunities, and risks to senior legal stakeholders in clear, practical terms
• Contributes to internal and external thought leadership on legal innovation, responsible AI use, and the future of legal services
• Ensures technology solutions align with professional responsibility requirements, data security standards, confidentiality obligations, and firm governance expectations
• Supports attorneys and clients in understanding technology limitations, identifying appropriate use cases, and evaluating risk trade offs
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with evolving innovation and technology priorities
• Experience working in a law firm, professional services, or enterprise legal environment preferred

Education & Prior Experience
• J.D. or equivalent legal qualification required.
• Meaningful experience practicing law or working in close partnership with practicing attorneys in a law firm, legal innovation group, or legal technology organization.
• Demonstrated experience supporting legal innovation, technology adoption, or AI enabled legal service delivery.
• Experience collaborating across legal and technical teams on complex initiatives.
• Experience supporting solutions from concept through deployment and adoption.
• Prior experience in a professional services or enterprise legal environment preferred
Technology
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and platforms used for legal research, drafting, and analysis
• Understanding of data security, confidentiality, and ethical considerations related to AI usage in legal practice preferred.
• Experience evaluating, piloting, and benchmarking legal technology solutions.
• Familiarity with legal operations, innovation frameworks, or product development methodologies preferred.
• Comfort working alongside technical teams supporting AI platforms and legal technology implementations.
