The Senior Treasury Analyst plays a key role in managing the organization’s daily cash operations, liquidity planning, and short-term investing activities. This role supports treasury strategy through accurate cash forecasting, bank account administration, investment reporting, and cross-functional financial analysis. The position requires strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily cash positions to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and strategic needs.
- Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and analyze variances to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Review investment activity, prepare portfolio performance reports, and deliver recommendations based on market trends and internal policies.
- Support annual audit requirements by preparing financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve banking, payment, and merchant services discrepancies.
- Coordinate the setup of new bank accounts, treasury services, and user access; serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external banking partners.
- Evaluate positive pay exceptions and approve or deny items to protect the organization against fraud.
- Develop advanced financial models and analytics to support treasury initiatives, capital planning, and cash optimization efforts.
- Prepare presentations and analytical materials for senior leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in special projects related to treasury technology, banking structure optimization, and process improvements.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of five years of professional experience, including at least three years in corporate treasury, cash management, or financial analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with banking products, investment reporting, financial modeling, and treasury systems.
