We are seeking a results-driven Sr. Purchasing Analyst to oversee and optimize purchasing activities for a growing retail automotive organization. This is an independent, hands-on role for someone who can take ownership of the purchasing function, identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, and deliver measurable results.

The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, analytical, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy. This person will work closely with leadership and internal teams to ensure the company is purchasing the right products and services at the right price while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage purchasing activities across the organization, from vendor sourcing through negotiation and final purchase.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and purchasing agreements to improve margins and reduce costs.
• Analyze purchasing data, vendor performance, pricing, and market trends to identify savings opportunities.
• Evaluate and onboard new vendors while maintaining a competitive supplier network.
• Establish purchasing strategies and processes that improve efficiency, accountability, and profitability.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing activity, and supplier performance to ensure business needs are met.
• Partner with operations, finance, and leadership to forecast purchasing needs and manage budgets.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate vendors, improve terms, and streamline purchasing processes.
• Track and report key purchasing metrics, savings, and results to executive leadership.
• Independently identify problems and opportunities and take action without requiring constant direction.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience within automotive, retail, dealership, distribution, or another high-volume purchasing environment preferred.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proven ability to reduce costs and deliver measurable purchasing results.
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Self-starter who is comfortable working independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to make decisions quickly.
• Organized, accountable, and highly results oriented.
• Comfortable working directly with executive leadership and taking ownership of the function.
