Overview
Our company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the smooth operation of all accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements monthly.
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll and ensure all payroll tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements for review with management.
- Work directly with clients and vendors to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
- Collaborate with external accountants during annual reviews or audits.
- Ensure proper documentation and record retention for all accounting transactions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a professional services or technology company preferred.
