The Assistant Project Accountant provides accounting and administrative support to the Project Accounting team. This role plays a key part in ensuring project and office operations run smoothly by assisting with financial transactions, compliance, and recordkeeping.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process miscellaneous invoices

Scan, code, and enter invoices for payment

Manage credit card transactions and expense reports

Route workflows for approval to project accountants, teams, and departments

Assist in preparing monthly billing backup for project owners

Set up and maintain electronic project files as needed

Support project closeout procedures

Submit and track insurance forms and certificates for compliance review

Generate and review reports to identify contract compliance issues

Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience in the construction industry

Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail

Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to perform tasks accurately with minimal supervision
