Summary:         
The Accounts Payable department is responsible for paying suppliers for products and services provided to the healthcare system. This position uses advanced skills and analytics to support the needs of various departments; maintains supplier account data; performs credentialing steps; and has an advanced understanding of the complete 1099 tax process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for high level accuracy in supplier creation and maintenance while meeting deadlines and goals.
• Adds, maintains and modifies supplier data. Uses appropriate tools to verify submitted data, research for duplicates and report any discrepancies prior to supplier creation or activation.
• Performs multiple sanction checks and IRS TIN verification. Ensures correct supplier taxing set up. Maintains supplier payment methods and banking information
• Develops and documents SOPs for the supplier set up processes. Participates in testing, upgrades and troubleshooting as needed
• Develops and documents SOPs for the 1099 process. Participates in testing, upgrades and troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborates closely with Accounts Payable Specialists, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing and end users to ensure accurate and timely requests for supplier accounts are serviced.
• Supports and reports month end accrual reporting.
• Applies advanced Excel skills for EIB creation and loading; and performs business analysis as assigned.
• Performs work in both OnBase and Workday to ensure open requests for supplier additions and changes are maintained.
• Trains new team members.

Required Education:
HS Diploma or equivalent

Required Licensure, Certification and/or Registration:
AP Certification within 1 year of hire.

Required Work Experience:
Five (5) years of accounts payable experience with at least two (1) year in supplier set up/maintenance role. 1099 Experience is a must.
