Position Summary
The Vice President of Sales (VP of Sales) will oversee and direct all sales activities across the Company's family of companies in the Commercial HVAC sector. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue growth, expanding market share, and maintaining long-term client relationships. The VP of Sales will manage and mentor the sales organization across all locations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and operational capabilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop, implement, and manage the overall sales strategy for the Commercial HVAC business.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor sales teams across multiple company locations.
- Establish sales goals, performance metrics, and forecasting models to ensure targets are met.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales objectives with operational capacity and strategic priorities.
Business Development & Client Relations
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, building owners, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide leadership in high-level negotiations and contract agreements.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and verticals.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations.
Sales Operations
- Oversee preparation of proposals, bids, and estimates for commercial HVAC projects.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in estimating, including materials, labor, engineering, and subcontractor requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth project handoff from sales to operations.
- Review and approve sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline metrics.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or building automation industries.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in executive-level roles.
- Established relationships within the consulting, contracting, and engineering communities.

- Ability to travel frequently between company locations and to client sites, trade shows, and industry events.
- Ability to inspect mechanical equipment and control devices in various locations, including rooftops, mezzanines, and above-ceiling spaces.
- May require occasional air travel.
