Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Vice President of Sales & Project Oversight to lead, organize, and optimize our sales & Estimating operation. This leadership role will be responsible for managing a sales team of internal estimators and external sales representatives. The ideal candidate will ensure performance targets are met, sales efforts are aligned with company goals, and project handoffs are seamless and permit-ready.
This role requires a strong background in sales leadership, project oversight, construction documentation, and cross-functional team coordination.


Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Business Scaling

  • Work with ownership to set company goals, profit margins and revenue goals.
  • Assist with company policies and procedures.
  • Jobsite territory expansion and areas of business interest.
  • Business Development and Networking – Networking Events and Groups.
  • Continuing education, webinars, seminars, in person training, vendor illustrations.
  • Foster existing relationships, new client generation, General Contractors, Consultants, Engineers, Property Managers, MFG Reps, Distribution Reps, etc.
  • Bid Management & Lead Sourcing Platforms: Procore, Builder Trend, Builder Connect, Plan Hub, Construct Connect, etc.

Sales Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor a team of external sales reps and internal estimators.
  • Set and monitor individual and team sales quotas, pipelines, and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and sales meetings.
  • Enforce accountability through task tracking, schedule adherence, and follow-up protocols.
  • Drive consistency in client communication, bid strategy, and customer service.

Project & Contract Oversight

  • Review all estimates, bids, and proposals prior to client submission to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and feasibility.
  • Validate each team members “handoff book” for project completeness, compliance, and readiness for operations.
  • Ensure all projects are aligned with company capabilities, margin expectations, permitting requirements, and construction standards.
  • Serve as the final checkpoint for bid packages and contracts before client presentation or job kickoff.

Cross-Departmental Coordination

  • Liaise between the sales, estimating, and operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs and unified project execution.
  • Work closely with permitting teams, ensuring all bids are buildable and compliant with local regulations.
  • Ensure documentation standards are upheld for every project (plans, specs, scopes of work, etc.).

Process Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Standardize and continuously refine sales procedures, documentation templates, and client presentation materials.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend strategic adjustments to improve close rates and profitability.
  • Develop training programs to upskill the sales team and onboarding process for new hires.

Day to Day operation

  • Manage job nimbus CRM  – keep all job status current, documents organized, templated up to date, and any other function within job nimbus.
  • Keep track of all inbound production-based leads, establish due dates and responsibilities task.
  • Study the market and ensure that our bids are consistent with market rates.
  • Stay current and up to date with all roofing systems, manufactures, and supplies.
  • Keep a “Score Card” on each member of the sales / estimating team.

 


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in construction or roofing.
  • Strong understanding of roofing systems, construction contracts, permitting processes, and estimating practices.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, estimating tools, and project tracking software.
  • Attend all roofing contractor association meetings in both Broward and Palm Beach.
  • Attend annual NRCA convention
  • Join one business enterprise focus group

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager, Director of Sales, or VP in a construction or roofing environment.
  • Experience reviewing and developing bid documents, scopes, and proposals.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.
