Plant Controller
Company is seeking a Plant Controller to manage the financial activities of our manufacturing plant in Florence, KY. In this position you will be responsible for analyzing and recording accounting transactions and supporting the monthly close, production and financial reporting process. The Plant Controller is responsible for developing and implementing financial procedures, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can quickly identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to maximize efficiency. In addition, this person must be able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines with minimal supervision, while providing guidance to the team.
Job Duties:
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective action
- Production monitoring from start to finish including variance analysis
- Project costs controlling in coordination with the Project Manager
- Annual rolling of costs in SAP
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Develop and maintain operational and financial controls
- Cost center cost tracking and controlling costs
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions
- Monitor temporary personnel with the Production Manager.
- Coordinate and review external audit activities
- Monitor compliance with all applicable laws and regulations with the CFO.
- Responsible for annual physical inventory
- Support project management
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum experience of 5 years
- Team player who is solutions focused / problem solver
- Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills
- Energetic, highly motivated, and ability to function in a high-pace environment with varying schedule
- BS Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required
- Microsoft Office package, Mandatory MS Excel.
- SAP FI/CO/IM module is preferred
