Overview:
The Master Data Specialist ensures accurate, complete, and consistent master data for the organization. Reporting to the Master Data Manager, they maintain and update master data records, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, and analyze and identify data issues. They contribute to the development and implementation of data management best practices, support internal stakeholders, and continuously improve master data processes. The role will assist in data migration projects and implementing new data management tools and technologies.
 
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
· Timely processing of data extracts and data input into various software and database systems.
· Analyze and identify data issues, assist in implementing solutions, and perform data reconciliation activities.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality metrics and reporting to track data quality performance.

Qualifications:
Education and Formal Training:

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration).

Experience:
· At least 5 years of experience in master data management or a related field, with demonstrated ability to maintain the functional data requirements in enterprise-wide projects.
· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
· Proven ability to analyze and identify data issues, implement solutions, and perform data reconciliation activities.
· Experience in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and workflows related to master data management.
· Experience in data migration with ability to transform datasets using SQL, excel, and other data migration tools .
· Knowledge of SAP/ERP data models and experience creating and maintaining data models is preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and implementation of data quality metrics and reporting to track data quality performance.

Overview:

This role manages complex BI projects, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and promotes data-driven decision-making across the organization. The position also integrates data from Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and SAP to deliver strategic, actionable insights to stakeholders in key areas such as commercial, supply chain, finance, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy: Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts. Define and execute the BI strategy to align with business goals, ensuring data initiatives deliver measurable value.
• BI Solution Design & Development: Architect, implement, and manage BI reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performance analytics, and reporting frameworks.
• Data Management: Oversee the ingestion, transformation, and storage of data into semantic models within Fabric, integrating data from multiple sources to ensure a unified, accurate, and accessible data layer for analytics and reporting.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and IT teams to understand business requirements and deliver actionable data insights. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field.

• 10+ years’ experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst role, with a strong track record of managing BI teams and projects.
• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including data lake, semantic modeling, and data warehousing capabilities including Dataflow Gen2, data pipelines, etc.
• Understanding of data architecture and data integration techniques, including ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau with the ability to design and develop complex dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure Databricks and experience with cloud-based BI and data engineering solutions.
• Desired programming skills in languages such as SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and model development.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools and frameworks for integrating predictive analytics and machine learning models into BI solutions.
